Adan was the first calf to be born at Loro Parque. Unfortunately his young mother Kohana, rejected him at birth and he was hand-reared by trainers. Morgan

[Name] Morgan
[Date of Capture] 23.June.10
[Currently resides] Loro Parque
[Previously held at] Dolfinarium Harderwijk
[Parents] -
[Offspring] Ula

Morgan's story begins in the wild. As a calf, she was seen alone in waters off the coast of The Netherlands. She was the first orca to be seen in Dutch coastal waters for more than 60 years. It is presumed she became separated from her pod. Morgan was in an unfit state, which is why Dolfinarium Harderwijk intervened and rescued the very malnourished female, and placed her under medical watch at the park. When she gained in health, she was sent to Loro Parque in November 2011, much to the opposition of the public whom had presumed she would be released back to her family. Morgan was supposedly valued at $7 million dollars, due to her adding new DNA to the captive orca gene pool and and being a new attraction at a park. Sadly, Morgan had difficulties adjusting to the social group at Loro Parque, and was bullied by the other whales. It has also possible that Morgan is deaf, which is a reason that Loro Parque use as an argument for why Morgan cannot be returned to the wild. Morgan gave birth to a female calf, Ula, in September 2018, however did not produce enough milk to nurse, and therefore Loro Parque staff intervened to hand-rear Ula for a few months. However the pair have since been reunited.

Lolita

[Name] Lolita
[Date of capture] 08.August.70
[Currently resides] Miami Seaquarium
[Previously held at] -
[Parents] -
[Offspring] Potentially unsuccessful pregnancies

Lolita was a member of the Penn Cove round-up in 1970. Originally called Tokitae, upon her arrival, she was separated from Hugo* who already lived there. Hugo* would vocalize to her, which the owner's wife described as Hugo* calling to his "Lolita" and the name stuck. Lolita and Hugo* lived together in the tiny show pool, until is death in 1980. She has since spent 40 years without the companion of another orca. She now lives with Pacific white-sided dolphins and together they perform regularly in shows. The Miami Seaquarium trainers used to work in the water with Lolita during shows, but this was banned by OSHA in June 2015, which was quite a few years after SeaWorld's ban, following Dawn Brancheau's death.
Lolita has been the center of many animal rights campaigns, in attempt to have Lolita released or moved from her tiny pool, but alas none have had any success. It is remarkable how she has managed to live for so many years in such a small tank, whilst other's have gone to an early death.

Kiska

[Name] Kiska
[Date of capture] Oct.81
[Currently resides] MarineLand Canda
[Previously held at] Saedyrasafnid Aquarium
[Parents] Unknown
[Offspring] Unsuccesful*, Kanuck*, Nova*, Hudson* and Athena*

Kiska was caught in Icelandic waters and sent to an aquarium there. Her stay was short and she was moved to MarineLand Canada with an unnamed female*. She has lived at MarineLand since 1981, and has lived with many tank mates. They lived together in King Wardolf's Theater before moving to Friendship Cove when it opened in 1998. She has given birth to many calves, but unfortunately none are alive to date. A male from SeaWorld Florida, Ikaika, joined the family in 2006, but when all of Kiska's family passed away it was just the two of them. They shared a pool together for 5 years before Ikaika was moved to SeaWorld San Diego, as he was only on loan. Since 2011, Kiska has lived alone without any tank mate whatsoever, not even another cetacean. She is the world's most solitary captive orca.

Ikaika

[Name] Ikaika
[Date of birth] 25.August.02
[Currently resides] SeaWorld California
[Previously held at] SeaWorld Florida, MarineLand Canada
[Parents] Tilikum* and Katina
[Offspring] -

For the first four years of his life, Ikaika lived at SeaWorld Florida. He lived there with his parents and siblings. He was close to his family, and enjoyed spending time with the younger orcas. In 2006 he was moved to MarineLand Canada. He liked playing with young Athena*, before she passed away. For a couple years he lived at MarineLand with just Kiska, an adult female. Ikaika was staying at MarineLand as a loan for beluga whales from SeaWorld, and there was a court case for SeaWorld to get him back. In 2011 he was transferred to SeaWorld California, as a replacement for Sumar* and he has lived there since.
