Freya was captured in Iceland with Kim 2*, Nootka 4*, Haida 2* and an unnamed male*. Kim* and Freya were sent to Marineland France. Freya had a very identifiable white mark on the left side of her body, which was caused by an X-ray, due to a skin disease she had. It is possible that the X-ray affected her reproductive system, which is why she had so many stillbirths. As Valentin was her only surviving offspring, she was very close with him, during their lives at the park. Freya was the dominant female at the park, and had a tendency to be aggressive, even towards her trainers at times. She passed away in June 2015, after a battling with an illness for several months.
