Kasatka lived at every SeaWorld park. She was captured in Iceland, and sent to SeaWorld California. She lived there in the winter months, and performed at SeaWorld Ohio, with Katina. This was Kasatka's routine life for about 9 years. From 1987-1988, Kasatka had a 4 month stint in SeaWorld Florida before being moved to SeaWorld Texas. She lived there for 2 years, before moving back to her first SeaWorld home in California, and has lived there since 1990 permanently. At SeaWorld California gave birth to all 4 of her calves. She was the first orca to successfully produce a calf via artificial insemination. In 1999 and 2006, Kasatka had been involved in incidences of aggression towards trainers, but luckily none of them ended fatally. She was euthanized in 2017 after a long battle with a bacterial infection, which saw her health and skin condition deteriorate.
