Tekoa was born to Taima*, who unfortunately had a history of aggression problems towards her offspring. She was aggressive to her first born, Sumar*, and like Sumar*, Tekoa suffered some of the same treatment. The pair were separated, and Kalina* and Katina became secondary mothers to Tekoa. Tekoa was good friends with Tuar, and in 2004 the two were transported to SeaWorld Texas. Tekoa lived there for 2 years before he was moved to Loro Parque with Keto. The two males joined Kohana and Skyla from SeaWorld Florida. Tekoa is often seen with rake marks caused by conflict at Loro Parque.
